Privacy Policy
Last Updated: July 31, 2026
This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which Guardian Capital collects, uses, maintains, and discloses information collected from users (each, a “User”) of the website https://gcloan.com (“Site”). This privacy policy applies to the Site and all products and services offered by Guardian Capital.
Personal Identification Information
We may collect personal identification information from Users in a variety of ways in connection with activities, services, features, or resources we make available on our Site, including mortgage inquiries, loan applications, and consultations. Users may visit our Site anonymously. We will collect personal identification information from Users only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. Users can always refuse to supply personal identification information, except that it may prevent them from engaging in certain Site-related activities, such as requesting a rate quote or pre-approval.
Non-personal Identification Information
We may collect non-personal identification information about Users whenever they interact with our Site. Non-personal identification information may include the browser name, the type of computer, and technical information about Users’ means of connection to our Site, such as the operating system and the Internet service providers utilized and other similar information.
Web Browser Cookies
Our Site may use “cookies” to enhance User experience. The User’s web browser places cookies on their hard drive for record-keeping purposes and sometimes to track information about them. Users may choose to set their web browser to refuse cookies or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If they do so, note that some parts of the Site may not function properly.
Beyond the browser cookies described above, this Site loads third-party analytics and advertising tags. They load when you arrive: we do not currently present a cookie consent banner, and we do not ask you to opt in before they run. The tools are Google Tag Manager (container GTM-NPQPDR8Z), which loads and manages the others; Google Analytics 4 (measurement IDs G-WENY2Z4F6E and G-LZELQNNQQJ), which records how visitors use the Site; Google Ads conversion and remarketing tags (IDs AW-8856842331 and AW-17891806890), which means you may be shown Guardian Capital advertising on Google properties and partner sites after visiting; Google’s DoubleClick advertising service; and the Meta Pixel (ID 1619164231536722), which reports page views and interactions to Meta for advertising measurement and audience building. Data collected by these tools is transmitted to Google and to Meta and processed on their own systems, under their own terms and privacy policies.
Information from forms you submit. When you submit a form on this Site — including our HELOC inquiry, home-search, and prequalification forms — we also provide the contact details you entered to Google and to Meta, so that we can measure which of our advertisements led to your inquiry and match it to your visit. This covers your name, email address, phone number, and ZIP code. Your name, email address, and phone number are converted to an irreversible cryptographic hash before they reach either platform; your ZIP code and country are sent as plain text, because Google’s specification for this data requires it. This happens in two ways: directly from your browser through the Google tag, and from our own servers through a data-processing service we operate, which forwards the event to Meta. Hashing means neither platform receives your details in readable form — but the purpose of the hash is to let them match you against an account they already hold, so it limits exposure rather than making the information anonymous. Once provided, how Google and Meta may use this information is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Your options for limiting it are below.
Your Choices and How to Opt Out
For Google advertising, Google’s My Ad Center lets you control ad personalization across Google services, and Google publishes an Analytics opt-out browser add-on. For Meta advertising, Meta’s ad preferences and your Meta account settings let you control how Meta personalizes advertising to you and review what businesses have sent Meta about you. In your browser, every major browser lets you block or delete cookies, and several block third-party tracking by default; blocking cookies stops most of the collection described above.
How We Protect Your Information
We adopt appropriate data collection, storage, and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your personal information, username, password, transaction information, and data stored on our Site. As a mortgage lender, we adhere to strict federal and state data security standards to protect your financial and personal records.
Sharing Your Personal Information
We do not sell, trade, or rent Users’ personal identification information to others in exchange for money. California law defines a “sale” or “share” of personal information more broadly than that: disclosing personal information to an advertising platform for cross-context behavioral advertising can fall within those definitions even where no money changes hands. Because we provide hashed contact details to Google and Meta to measure and target our own advertising, as described under “Information from forms you submit” above, that activity may constitute a “share” under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act. California residents who do not want their personal information used that way may tell us so by emailing ali@gcloan.com, and the browser and platform controls under “Your Choices and How to Opt Out” below also limit it. We may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personal identification information regarding visitors and users with our business partners, trusted affiliates, and advertisers for the purposes outlined above (this excludes SMS opt-in data and consent records, which are never shared — see Mobile Information Sharing below). We may share information with trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or serving you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential.
Compliance with Federal Regulations
Guardian Capital complies with all applicable federal and state laws regarding consumer privacy, including but not limited to the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA).
Changes to This Privacy Policy
Guardian Capital has the discretion to update this privacy policy at any time. When we do, we will revise the updated date at the bottom of this page. We encourage Users to frequently check this page for any changes to stay informed about how we are helping to protect the personal information we collect. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this privacy policy periodically and become aware of modifications.
Your Acceptance of These Terms
By using this Site, you signify your acceptance of this policy. If you do not agree to this policy, please do not use our Site. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of changes to this policy will be deemed your acceptance of those changes.
Mobile Information and SMS Communications
Last Updated: July 31, 2026
Guardian Capital does not sell or rent your personal data, and does not share it with third parties for those third parties’ own marketing or promotional purposes. We do provide limited contact details to our advertising and analytics providers to measure and target our own advertising, as described under “Information from forms you submit” above.
Mobile Information Sharing: Your text messaging originator opt-in data and consent records — the record that you agreed to receive text messages — are not shared with any third party, other than the aggregators and providers of the Text Message services, solely for the purpose of facilitating the SMS communications you have consented to receive. We do not sell or rent your mobile phone number, and we do not share it with third parties or affiliates so that they can market to you. Separately, your phone number is provided in hashed form to our advertising and analytics providers to measure and target our own advertising, as described under “Information from forms you submit” above; that use does not involve sending you marketing text messages, and it does not include your SMS consent record.
When you submit a lead, inquiry, or registration form on gcloan.com — including, without limitation, our HELOC inquiry forms, home-search and prequalification forms, and Showcase IDX property-search registration — and provide SMS consent (such as by checking the SMS consent box), you provide consent to receive automated SMS messages from Guardian Capital about your inquiry or request. Your SMS consent information is stored and used solely for the purpose of providing the SMS service you opted into, and is not sold, rented, or shared with marketing partners, advertisers, or any other third party. Your mobile phone number is not sold or rented, and is not shared with any third party so that party can send you its own marketing; it is provided in hashed form to our advertising and analytics providers as described under “Information from forms you submit” above.
You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any text message you receive from us. Standard message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on your inquiry status. For SMS support, reply HELP or contact us at ali@gcloan.com.

Live chat and on-site help
Helping you while you browse. While you are on gcloan.com, we may note — for the duration of your visit only — which page you are viewing and how long you’ve been there, so that our team or our automated assistant can offer to help you via chat. This information is held briefly on our own website, is not linked to your name or contact details, contains no IP address, and is automatically deleted within minutes of you leaving the site. Records of which chat invitation messages we display are kept for advertising-compliance purposes, but they contain no information about you.
Chat invitations. You may see a small chat invitation while browsing. Some invitations come from our automated home-search assistant (always labeled as an assistant); others come from a real member of our team who is online at that moment. Invitations appear at most once per visit and can be dismissed with one tap.
Visitors in the EU, UK, Australia, and Canada. For visitors in these regions we do not run this on-site presence feature or send proactive chat invitations unless you have given consent. You can always start a chat yourself.
Chat conversations. Conversations with our assistant are used to answer your questions; they are not used for advertising audiences. Our assistant cannot quote rates or terms and cannot approve or pre-qualify you — a licensed specialist follows up for anything loan-specific. If you share contact details in chat, we use them only to respond to you.
